Are you a think pink kind of girl? Do you love to go out and have fun? October babies, we have the prettiest gemstone for you for your birth month: the Tourmaline.

A little history about this gem of a stone: Although the accepted and known colour is pink, this gem comes in a rainbow of hues like blue, high-end reds and greens. The name tourmaline comes from the Sinhalese (Sri Lanka) word turomalli which translates as, the stone of mixed colors. Ancient legend says that tourmaline is found in all colors because it traveled along a rainbow and gathered all the rainbow’s colors. Tourmaline is believed to strengthen the body and spirit, especially the nervous system, blood, and lymphs.

Great news about the colour - pink tourmaline represents a love of humanity and humanitarianism. It is worn to promote sympathy towards others. It is said to be an excellent stone for healers and therapists, as it allows them to better listen to and understand their patients. It carries the virtue of unconditional love and friendship. In fact, it radiates the highest amount of love of all the different colored tourmalines. It calms the negative emotions that often upset relationships. So, what a wonder of a stone. This is ought to make you want to get yourself a Bold Name necklace that shows off your ability to unconditionally love.

This month also happens to be breast cancer awareness month, so we felt like it was a perfect time to introduce you to our newest addition: the Cancer Ribbon charm which comes in sterling silver, rose gold or yellow gold. Perfect timing! Go out there and add some memi to spruce up your pink marching outfits and encourage others that they are not alone in their battle with cancer.
